PAYROLL CORRDINATOR Our client, located centrally in the Cleveland area, is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to add to their team! This individual will be primarily responsible for processing payroll for full-time and contracted employees, as well as being the go-to individual for any and all needs regarding the Kronos payroll software. Must have a thorough knowledge of Kronos payroll software. Audit payroll by reconciling totals and monitoring site staff to ensure information balances with all preliminary reports finalizing and submitting files. Audit and verify all new-hire forms are complete and contain all required information to process payroll accurately. Maintain records for State Unemployment rates and updated records for accurate company contributions to State agencies as required. Train and instruct station managers and/or administrative assistants in payroll processing procedures, to include scheduling and reporting in Kronos. Maintain current files for all payroll changes and other data in files dated for each location and payroll processing date. Verify all deductions for city, state and local tax are correct and current, including all deductions for medical insurance, parking, uniforms and garnishments. Reconcile same. Responsible for completing and returning timely garnishment information to requesting agencies. Verify all garnishments are entered to payroll promptly upon receipt of order and verify all garnishments are deducted from payroll as required. Maintain separate files for all health related correspondence and garnishment orders. Provide accounting department and management with requested payroll reports and data. Assist with monthly reconciliation of payroll related bank accounts Distribution and mailing of W-2 forms after the year end. Reconcile W-2 forms and verify all information and forms are accounted for. Record all returned W-2 forms; this includes forwarding forms to those individuals who have submitted change of address notices. Sending copies of W-2 forms to those individuals who have not received their forms for the prior tax year. Ensure that field administrative assistants and station managers are completing payroll responsibilities accurately and on time. Oversight of field administrative assistants and station managers to include mentoring and issuing of corrective actions when failure to meet goals/deadline and performance issues arise. Prepare topics for discussion and participate in weekly accounting meetings. Assist Human Resource Manager with assignments as specified. Participate in special projects as required. Audit insurance enrollments; ensure proper deductions are entered in payroll. Process garnishments and other legal deductions from payroll. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
