The Independent Sales Director Manager (IDS) develops and leads a sales team of outside, business to business sales professionals to achieve sales plan.

Key Job Responsibilities are as follows:

  • The IDS is responsible and accountable for the Independent Sales Program results in their assigned territory, with emphasis onretaining and growing salesfrom existing independent stores

  • The IDS is responsible for therecruitment, development, training and performance managementof a group of Account Executives (AE’s) who are assigned to retention and growth of existing customers as well as acquisition of new business.

  • Driving incremental sales growthprospectingcompetitive changeovers and greenfield opportunities through direct sales calls on multiply store owners and coaching the AE’s on single store locations

  • The IDS is responsible forpartnering with AAP sales leadershipto develop an overall enterprise sales plan to take market share from the competition.

  • The IDS is responsible for maintaining & growingcustomer relationshipsthrough sales calls and customer events.

  • Project leadfor store remodels, changeovers, greenfields and line additions

  • Assisting the financial director in A/Rcustomers collection

Qualifications:

7-10 years experience in a related industryBachelor's DegreeSupervives more than 10 but less than 20Travel is 50% of work schedule
