In general terms, the duties and responsibilities of a Process Engineer pertain to the metallurgical integrity of the cast turbine blades and vanes. As such, the associated tasks include:
Ceramic Area Process Control
Evaluate and refine process parameters that impact casting processes (including but not limited to runouts, grain, dimensional, or finishing)
Implement and develop procedures for depts. 620/630 as needed.
- Continuously improves processes to reduce scrap/rework, reduce material and labor costs related to department processes.
Utilize statistical and graphical analysis techniques.
Initiate and interface with all levels of manufacturing, management, suppliers and customers.
Interface with other PCC plants regularly regarding ideas, projects, scrap and process control
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science (Graduation date must be prior to 1/1/2017)
Self starter, eager to learn, detail oriented, good communication and interpersonal skills.
