Position Summary The purpose of this position to contribute and provide leadership to a service conscious Pharmacy team who will consistently build relationships with patients by exceeding their needs and providing safe, accurate and efficient care to achieve optimal patient, Team Member and Company outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Immediately acknowledge and welcome patients with compassion and a smile at all pharmacy entry points.

  • Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging and enthusiastically meeting or exceeding all patient needs including processing orders in person and by phone, directing patients to products and merchandise and referring appropriate questions concerning prescriptions and over the counter medicine to the pharmacist.

  • Perform all supporting duties to contribute to the safe and efficient dispensing of all patient orders by following all quality assurance policy and procedures including all data entry, selecting and counting medication and performing double checks on prescriptions.

  • Maintain proper inventory levels by submitting on line order, adding and adjusting order points, order quantities and on-hand counts in the computer and assisting manager in preparation of physical inventories.

  • Adhere to all company, state and federal policies, laws and regulations including HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine sales.

  • Assist team members with tasks to ensure department runs efficiently.

  • Assist in mentoring / training new team members in the pharmacy and participate in periodic team member evaluations for follow up of development and continued training requirements.

  • Write and post weekly work schedule and rotate role assignments for technicians.

  • Complete all necessary daily and weekly reports; process required forms and documents.

  • Review all appropriate service and business metrics and assist team on action plans to improve outcome.

  • Maintain a neat and clean work environment to ensure company and government requirements are met.

  • Assist in the execution of all company initiatives and programs.

  • Assist manager to provide an optimal team and patient experience by proper delegation of work assignments and efficient use of supplies and equipment.

  • Perform pre-audits on behalf of manager to ensure passing of all official audits.

  • Perform all regular duties of Pharmacy Technician/Service Technician as needed.

  • Little or no financial or budgetary responsibility
