The Utilities Energy Retail Consultant designs and implements business changes that drive industry-specific, function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on innovations in energy management impacting both customer and grid operations.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Identifies, assesses and solves complex business problems for area ofresponsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depthevaluation of variable factors

  • Closely follows the strategic direction set by senior management when establishing near term goals

  • Interacts with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture onmatters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach

  • Has some latitude in decision-making; Acts independently to determinemethods and procedures on new assignments

  • Actively contribute to our Industry Consulting offerings, assets andthought leadership

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience from the utilities industry – preference for experience in both competitive and noncompetitive markets

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience implementing process and change interventions that integrate strategy, technology and people to enable process improvements that create value for clients

  • Experience in: Energy Management (demand response, energy efficiency, DSM, or distributed energy resources) project delivery / Digital Customer Transformation project delivery

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Customer Operations, specifically related to energy management or beyond energy services/ programs

  • Minimum of 1 year of consulting and project management experience

  • Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable It is currently our objective to assign our people to work near where they live. However, given the nature of our business and our need to serve our clients our employees must be available to travel when needed

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline
