About the Job
The Risk Evaluation and Assurance Program (the “REA Program”) team has the responsibility for monitoring and evaluating various lines of business and cross functional activities performed across similar areas, and identifying and supporting effective and sustainable risk management processes across the organization. Individuals will help ensure compliance risk requirements and processes comply with regulatory requirements, Key’s Risk Management policies and program requirements and that business activities are managed within Key’s Compliance Risk Management appetite. The positions reports to a REA Program Manager.
Essential Job Functions
Serve on a team of risk evaluation and assurance professionals, working to provide an independent Second Line of Defense approach to risk-based monitoring and evaluation by focusing on current, high impact compliance risks, developing assessments, and providing input over control effectiveness through formal reporting, as well as monitoring remediation activities.
Gain and maintain a working understanding of applicable regulations and laws, industry trends, emerging issues and themes.
Work independently and with a team on risk-based monitoring and evaluation activities, including assessment, monitoring and testing, analysis of findings and reporting, to ensure effective, sustainable risk management process exist.
Demonstrate product, industry, and regulatory subject matter knowledge and ability to understand its applicability to risk management strategies.
Demonstrates ability to translate that knowledge into scoping of risk evaluations, and testing design.
Analyze risks and controls to identify potential weaknesses and/or control gaps.
Clearly document the Risk Evaluation testing performed and results or conclusions in concise management reports.
Provide heightened awareness around significant risks and proactive identification and remediation of control weaknesses or gaps.
Review policies and procedures and associated compliance and compliance risk programs to ensure consistency with current applicable banking and securities rules, regulations, and laws.
Identify and provide process improvement opportunities and future-state control advisory services.
Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with mid to senior level management, other internal clients and peers, and Audit.
Collaborate and partner with other Risk Management teams.
Conduct review and challenge activities and escalation, as required.
Escalate promptly to appropriate management any material breaches of applicable laws, rules, policies or standards with an actual or potential compliance risk impact, and assist in determining the necessary corrective action.
Participate in development and on-going enhancement of the REA Program and related procedures.
Education/Background: Bachelor's degree
5+ years of risk management and/or audit experience, strongly focused on risks and controls and risk-based auditing techniques. - Knowledge of financial services compliance and operations including the related rules and regulations of the financial services industry to include: OCC, FRB, State Law, and other pertinent regulations.
Practical knowledge of compliance and compliance processes, and applicable techniques for implementation of regulatory, compliance and legal requirements and compliance processes.

Proficient with advanced concepts of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
