The QTV team is the award winning in-house video production team for the Cleveland Cavaliers family of companies at Quicken Loans Arena.

The QTV team is obsessed with creating the most dynamic and ground-breaking creative content to drive game presentation activation, marketing campaigns, video web/digital content and team-driven broadcast initiatives for the Cleveland Cavaliers and partner properties. QTV projects support the Cleveland Cavaliers, Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland Monsters, Cleveland Gladiators, Canton Charge, and other key properties as needed throughout the year.

The QTV Lead Producer, Marketing is a motivated individual who plays a leadership role in driving innovation and creative direction for QTV projects. This person will develop creative by writing, storyboarding, shooting, editing and final delivery. This person also develops creative commercial and promotional video content that supports the marketing organization’s brand, ticket sales, Wine & Gold United Membership, promotional objectives and retail advertising. Innovation and a “Yes Before No” attitude of service is everything as this individual will work to develop and bring the marketing team’s vision to life.

Ideal candidates will have experience in a variety of creative styles, and are adaptable, open-minded and ready to work independently, and collaboratively, depending on each unique project circumstance. This position requires broad knowledge and proven skill within all technical aspects of media production, including shooting, editing, still graphics and animation.

MARKETING CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT & DELIVERY

  • Plays a collaborative and proactive role in the creative development and activation of team marketing campaigns from concept thru completion establishing appropriate project timelines.

  • Works closely with the marketing team to develop and execute concepts for creative marketing campaigns. Such campaigns are geared towards driving ticket sales for key games, Wine & Gold United membership acquisition/engagement/retention, marketing team promotions, and merchandise sales, among others as needed.

  • Exhibits an understanding of the internal arena and external marketing landscape with the ability to leverage relevant production tactics to optimize creative for various mediums (i.e., TV, radio, arena LEDs, digital, etc.)

  • Takes an ownership role in developing fun and actionable ideas that communicate major organizational initiatives in fun, Fan-friendly (and results oriented) ways.

  • Creates ground-breaking ideas not only for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but also for the Cleveland Monsters, Cleveland Gladiators, Canton Charge and Quicken Loans Arena.

  • Plays a leadership role in cross promoting major brand initiatives across all other properties and arena events.

  • Thrives in a collaborative environment as many projects will be completed in conjunction with internal and third-party partners.

VIDEO PRODUCTION

  • Develops video assets such as multimedia campaigns, promotional spots, radio commercials, LEDs and broadcast lower thirds.

  • Provides breakthrough concept development, storyboarding, storytelling, scripting, production planning, shooting, editing, post-production, and finalizing content for final and approved distribution.

  • Works in partnership with creative colleagues in other disciplines to incorporate and support the development of ideas that impact various mediums such as print production, digital/web/social, and other marketing initiatives.

  • Performs hands-on shooting, editing and animation work for any project that requires such skill. Serves as lead contact for assigned projects, including outsourced projects:

  • Manages the production and post-production process and identifies opportunities to innovate/optimize the process.

  • Effectively communicates estimated time to complete projects including a breakdown of key milestones and hours for each phase of project.

  • Coordinates tasks and responsibilities with other producers to ensure timely project completion.

  • Works closely with Director of QTV and Director of Strategic Marketing to receive timely feedback and approvals.

  • Works closely with marketing team to align on production budget.

  • Leads the spot trafficking and delivery process.

  • Manages multiple projects across the organization and communicates progress of all productions to stakeholders in a timely manner.

  • Oversees and organizes both large and small productions, performing site surveys, securing necessary equipment, crew and talent for productions.

  • Schedules regular brainstorms and finds new ways to motivate teammates to bring the best new ideas to the table.

  • Brings forward and upholds quality control measures to ensure 100% accountability and zero pre-production errors across the QTV team.

  • Exhibits the ability to work on tight timelines including nights and weekends.

LEADERSHIP

  • Plays a leadership role in promoting QTV organizational priorities across all properties and arena events.

  • Directly oversees small production staff, providing guidance, time management, leadership, and mentorship.

  • Manages work schedules for self as well as team members under supervision.

  • Provides QTV director/senior producers with advice and always communicates feedback to ensure QTV continually progresses and is the best it can be in professional entertainment.

  • Proactively interacts with internal departments to maintain a successful partnership with QTV.

  • Takes a lead role to increase the depth of QTV part-time staff to support marketing campaigns and productions.

  • Seeks out training opportunities to ensure QTV’s constant growth, including leadership training and seminars, enhancing our creative capabilities and driving innovation.

  • Provides training to QTV team members in areas of expertise as needed.

  • Seeks to continually improve the QTV team by researching and recommending new equipment that can help QTV operate at a higher level and create amazing products with greater efficiency and effectiveness.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Provides creative production support for major Cavaliers organizational events, including, but not limited to, Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland Monsters, Cleveland Gladiators, Canton Charge, and other key organizational projects and initiatives.

  • Supports innovation for game entertainment and the Fan experience through concept development and delivery of entertainment and energy-driving content to run in-arena.

  • Researches and engages in current events, pop-culture events, music trends and trending topics… with the ability to put such ideas to action quickly.

  • Assists other QTV team members on other events and projects as needed.

  • Develops strong vendor relationships that support QTV, including third-party production partnerships and new technology partnerships, among others.

  • Promotes the overall high expectation of quality for all QTV productions.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Video Production/Chief Marketing Officer.
