GCA Services Operation Manager Cleveland/Akron/Youngstown area in Cleveland, Ohio
The Director of Facilities Operations & Maintenance is expected to serve as the GCA Services primary point of contact for the contract and responsible for the performance of the maintenance department. Directs activities of all Facilities Staff members directly or via subordinate manager. Responsible for managed budgets up to $1M annually.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Provide leadership and develop a positive culture for the maintenance team.
Planning, scheduling, prioritizing, directing work against many competing demands.
Managing a Profit & Loss Center; achieving financial plans.
Effective utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Develop reports utilizing MicroSoft Office products: Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Conducts inspections and audits. Prepares reports noting findings.
Ability to understand specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment is preferred.
Conducts annual performance evaluations, hires new employees, progressive discipline.
Prepares annual budgets and manages departmental expenditures.
Manage and coordinate activities of local service providers and/or subcontractors.
Train, supervise and evaluate management level positions.
Provide effective communication with the customers and clients.
Oversees and/or participates in capital planning
Provide excellent customer service.
Responds to emergency situations during and after hours.
Other similar responsibilities.
Oversee large teams of hourly employees, administrative personnel and salaried managers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Individual must have proven supervisory, administrative, and communication skills along with an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent and three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competent with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Building Automation Systems may be required.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write effective correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

A valid state driver's license may be required.
