Cleveland Clinic Health-Intern-Educator in Cleveland, Ohio
The Health and Wellness Internship will provide a unique education opportunity for individuals interested in the Health and Wellness field. Internship will provide hands on experience with managing and facilitating programs provided at the Langston Hughes Community Health and Education Center.
Intern will work under direct supervisor of the Program Manager to maintain effective communication, ensure safety, and support organization administration.
Job Duties with Include:
-Assist with Physical Fitness Assessments
-Implement appropriate exercise prescriptions based on participant's assessment and personal goals
-Support the daily operations of the facility, ensure proper supervision of exercise area and equipment management
-assist with group exercise and health education programs
-Expected Start date of September 4, 2017
Works with and learns from Cleveland Clinic caregivers about the operations of the department s technical and operational aspects.
Applies classroom knowledge to actual experiences to reinforce or refine their career goals.
Assists in creating internal/external business communications such as newsletters, publications, flyers, and brochures.
Assists in the scheduling, coordination, preparation and communication of meetings and events.
Attends and observe operational meetings.
Communicates project status and requirements.
Participates in research, analysis, and organization of information and data for presentations.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred candidates will have completed at least one year of Bachelors Program
- At a minimum, students must have successfully completed at least 8th grade prior to the start of the Cleveland Clinic student program.
