- Key Responsibilities *
/ Candidates will be properly trained to handle/ prepared proper Paint Samples, set-up racks of proper/clean substrate panels, Follow Proper Spray Test Work Instructions and Execute Defined Spray Tests. Will be responsible for Evaluation Surface for Defects / Documentations of Results, and Assuring Review with Leader Engineer and Communication of Results properly to Cleveland QA Team. Will be responsible for Proper PPG define Safety, Policies, Procedures, House Keeping, Sample Disposition, and Proper Documented Waste Management. /
Experience and Education
Minimum High School Diploma, prefer Junior College – with Math or Sciences background. Must be detail oriented, follow directions, and adhere to all PPG Policies and Procedures. Prior experience with Painting or Automotive or Industrial Paint Shop Process is a plus. Knowledge of Painting Robotics or Automation added significant plus.
Functional and Technical Skills
Mechanical, Automation, or Robotics knowledge is very beneficial. Must follow work instructions, documenting Testing Set-Ups and Outcome Results. Knowledge of Automotive Paints, Spray Testing, and Defects in Final Finish is a significant plus. PPG can teach these skills for a person self-motivated with desire to learn. Taking Responsibility, Good Communication and Computer Skills needed.
Must successfully complete the Technician Test Battery.
