Cleveland Clinic Program-Instructor-NAPPI-PRN in Beachwood, Ohio
Coordinates the classroom aspects of Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) Training. Ensures all courses are to be held according to the standards and guidelines
Reserves and organizes classrooms and equipment to conduct scheduled classes.
Ensures instructor, equipment, classroom instruction and student ratios meet the standards set by the Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI) Training Center© and Cleveland Clinic.
Applies adult learning techniques; adapts and develops training materials; prepares and adapts lesson plans based on NAPPI curriculum and principles using competency based education.
Instructs and imparts information in an interactive participative manner eliciting frequent responses.
Selects and uses audiovisual hardware and software to reinforce learning.
Evaluates and documents participant learning using program approved tools.

- Associates Degree required.
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred
Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) preferred

One year of experience required as a LPN, mental healthcare worker, behavioral health care worker, paramedic, police officer or NAPPI trainer.
Two years of experience as a LPN, mental healthcare worker, behavioral health care worker, paramedic, police officer or NAPPI trainer may be substituted for degree requirement.
Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.
Extensive sitting, standing and walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
Physical agility required to teach physical components of training course.
